My dear sisters, brothers, distinguished guests and dear children!

I extend my warm greetings to all of you on the joyous occasion of Lohri and it gives me immense pleasure to join you here today in Sonepat for the state level Lohri celebration.
Lohri is much more than a festival of harvest. It is a celebration of life, nature and collective happiness. It marks the end of winter and the beginning of a new agricultural cycle, symbolising hope, prosperity and renewal.
The sacred fire of Lohri reminds us of warmth, unity and gratitude towards nature for its abundance.
Haryana is a land of rich traditions, deep-rooted values and vibrant cultural heritage. From our folk songs and dances to our age-old festivals, every celebration reflects the strength of our community spirit.
Lohri, with its traditional songs, clapping rhythms, and joyful gatherings, beautifully represents the soul of Haryana – simple, hardworking and full of warmth.
I am particularly happy to see young people taking part in cultural performances. When our youth connect with their roots, our heritage remains alive and meaningful. Festivals like Lohri also teach us the values of sharing, respect for nature and collective responsibility.
On this auspicious occasion, I wish prosperity to our farmers, happiness to our families, and progress to our great state. May the warmth of Lohri’s fire fill every home with joy, peace and good health!
With these words, I extend my best wishes to all of you.

    Happy Lohri!
    Thank you! Jai Hind!
