Chandigarh, February 4, : Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Friday said that people from weaker sections of society including Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes will immensely benefit from the schemes included in the Union Budget for their welfare and development. There is a need for continuous efforts to ensure that benefits of welfare schemes do reach the needy people.
Shri Dattatraya was interacting with Lok Sabha Member from Rohtak Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma who had made a courtesy call on the Governor at Raj Bhavan today. Dr Sharma is a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women and Child Welfare, Youth and Sports Affairs.
Governor Shri Dattatraya advised all public representatives to inform the people about the policies and programs of the government related to their welfare so that the last person standing in the queue gets the benefits of the schemes.
He said that in the Union Budget of the Central government, there is an emphasis on digitizing the activities of the government. Digitization will ensure total transparency in the system, leading to a corruption-free era in the country.
Rohtak MP Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma informed Shri Dattatraya that the focus of the Union Budget is on education, health, security, women and child welfare. To fully implement the new National Education Policy, the provision of more than 6 per cent of the amount is a historic step. Similarly, provision has been made to further strengthen Anganwadis for child development. More than 2 lakh Anganwadis will be further developed in the country.
Dr Sharma said that the present government has tried to put in place plans for the coming 25 years through the Union Budget 2022-23. This Budget will be a milestone in the development of the country.
