International kick-boxing player Monal Kukreja presenting the National Flag to the Governor of Haryana Shri Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh, August 26, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Friday extended his best wishes to international kickboxing player Monal Kukreja and wished her a bright future. Monal and her parents – Nisha Kukreja and Dilip Kukreja, her younger sister Neeral today made a courtesy visit to Hon’ble Governor at Raj Bhavan. Neeral Kukreja, younger sister of Monal Kukreja, is also a kickboxing player. Secretary to the Governor Shri Atul Dwivedi was also present on the occasion.
Governor Shri Dattatraya, while blessing both the sisters, said that girls have adopted sports as a career and they are not only participating in every international and national competitions continuously but have also brought laurels to Haryana and India by winning medals.
The Governor said that Haryana has become the hub of sports. The government is also providing all kinds of facilities to promote sports. Not only this, cash prizes are being given to the players by the government. He has appealed to the parents to give education to their girls and also encourage them to take part in spots.

Monal said that meeting the Governor today has boosted her confidence. With this inspiration, I will be able to do better in the future, she said. Monal also presented the National Flag and a bag of Wushu to the Governor Shri Dattatraya.
