Esteemed dignitaries, respected industry leaders, distinguished delegates, members of the PHDCCI, Ladies and Gentlemen!
Namaskar!
It is a privilege to be here at the Leadership Dialogue on ‘Trade, Industry and Regional Growth’ at the prestigious Punjab International Trade Expo — PITEX 2025.
I am truly delighted to see such a vibrant gathering of entrepreneurs, policymakers, innovators, academicians and industry stakeholders, all united with a shared commitment to shaping the future of regional economic development.
I extend my sincere appreciation to PHDCCI Punjab for consistently hosting a platform that strengthens the economic fabric of North India.
I have been told that over the years, PITEX has evolved into one of the region’s most influential trade events. It has served as a vital bridge between industry and opportunity, between Punjab, Haryana and the wider northern ecosystem, and between India and global markets. Events like this reaffirm our belief that collaborative regional growth is the driving engine of national progress.
Dear Friends,
Punjab and Haryana share a bond rooted in history, culture, agriculture, enterprise and deep people-to-people ties. Our states are neighbours, partners, and contributors to each other’s prosperity. A rising Punjab and a rising Haryana together reinforce the entire northern region, economically, socially, and strategically.
Today, as we stand at the threshold of a new economic era, the partnership between government and industry has become more important than ever before.
I firmly believe the next decade will belong to those regions that prioritize innovation-led industry, robust MSME development, value-added agriculture and food processing, and the creation of cross-state industrial corridors and logistics networks.
If we align our collective strengths—Punjab’s industrial heritage, Haryana’s manufacturing leadership, Himachal Pradesh’s pharmaceutical and tourism potential, Chandigarh’s administrative excellence, and the entrepreneurial energy of our youth, we can emerge as one of Asia’s most formidable regional economic clusters.
In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that the future of trade and industry lies in collaboration, innovation, and regional integration. Punjab and Haryana have always shared a spirit of unity, and together we can achieve transformative growth for North India and for our nation.
Thank you! Jai Hind!
