The Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya said that the special session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha has been convened for ratifying the amendments to the Constitution of India falling within the purview of clause (d) of proviso to clause (2) of article 368, proposed to be made by the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-sixth Amendment) Bill, 2019, as passed by both the Houses of Parliament.

Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya was speaking during the special session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today. On this occasion, he also greeted the people of the State for a happy and prosperous New Year 2020.

The special session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha which convened here with the consensus of all political parties, unanimously ratified the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-sixth Amendment) Bill, 2019 passed by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal presented a proposal in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in this regard. Now, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat is to be apprised with the ratification made in this regard. After passing this ratification in Constitution (One hundred and twenty-sixth Amendment) Bill, 2019, Speaker Haryana Vidhan adjourned the Vidhan Sabha sine-die
