    Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya interacted with a delegation of 74 students and teachers of Vijaya High School, Nirmal, Telangana, at Raj Bhavan

    Chandigarh, January 11, 2024: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Wednesday evening interacted with a delegation of 74 students and teachers of Vijaya High School, Nirmal, Telangana, at Raj Bhavan and said that our youngsters must be made aware of our cultural and social diversity, which is the cornerstone of our nation.

    Haryana Governor Shri Dattatraya also conveyed the wishes of Makar Sankranti to them. He said that festivals hold a lot of importance in our culture. They are a unifying force that brings everyone together. Sankranti festival is also special for our Telugu people.

    Festival of Sankranti is celebrated with Til (Sesame) and Jaggery. Sesame is a symbol of love. Jaggery is a symbol of sweetness. We should talk and behave sweetly among ourselves so that there is always an atmosphere of social bonhomie in the society, said Shri Dattatraya.

    Governor Shri Dattatraya asked them to spread happiness, harmony and brotherhood in the society. He said that such tour programmes give us opportunities to understand each other and also our country’s great culture, civilization, language, lifestyle, food habits and so on.

    A delegation of 74 students and teachers of Vijaya High School, Nirmal, were on a visit to northern India. On behalf of them, Nagabhushanam M honoured Hon’ble Governor with shawl and mementos.

    Secretary to Governor Shri Atul Dwivedi, ADC (P) Shri Arsh Verma, OSD to Hon’ble Governor Shri Bakhwinder Singh, Comptroller and Director, Hospitality, Raj Bhavan, Shri Jagan Nath Bains and other officials were present on the occasion.
