Haryana Governor has greeted workers and the people of the state on the occasion of Labour Day
Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has greeted workers and the people of the state on the occasion of Labour Day. He has also appealed to the general public to make a significant contribution in protecting the rights of workers, which will further strengthen the atmosphere of harmony, equality and brotherhood in the state.
Shri Dattatraya said that ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is the cornerstone of our nation. Only a person who understands the truth of life can understand the importance and glory of labour. In view of the importance of labour, the Central and Haryana governments have started many schemes for the welfare and upliftment of workers.
He said that last year, 2 lakh 25 thousand 346 workers were provided benefits worth Rs 154 crore under various welfare schemes of the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board in the state. ESI hospitals have been set up to provide better health facilities to workers and their families.
Industrial sanitation laboratories have also been established in half a dozen districts of the state for regular treatment and health check-up. He has appealed to the general public to register all workers working in their institutions so that they get benefits of welfare schemes launched by the Central and State governments for them.
