Esteemed Guests and my dear brave girls of Haryana!
I wish you all a very warm and affectionate Good Morning!
I am overwhelmed by your noble mission that you are going to celebrate the festival of lights with our soldiers at Jalandhar, Jammu, Anantnag and Srinagar.
I compliment the Media Student Association from the core of my heart for organizing ‘Ek Diya Desh Ke Naam’ programme, a laudable initiative, indeed.
Dear all,
Our soldiers hold a special place in our hearts. They are the true sentinels of our freedom and sovereignty. They stand as an unyielding wall of courage, guarding the borders in the harshest terrains and toughest conditions so that we can live in peace and security.
Beyond the battlefield, soldiers also serve during natural disasters and humanitarian crises, showcasing their unwavering commitment to humanity.
The importance of soldiers lies not only in their role as defenders of the nation but also as symbols of unity, resilience and national pride.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am happy to share that today our beloved country stands tall with one of the finest and most disciplined armed forces in the world.
The Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force are not only known for their unmatched courage and professionalism but also for their humanitarian spirit and commitment to peace.
It is also a matter of immense pride that a growing number of women are now donning the uniform with honour and excellence.
Their presence across various ranks and roles — from combat duties to command positions — reflects the true spirit of equality and empowerment in our defence forces.
I wish and hope that some of you one day will become a part of our defence forces and will bring laurels not only to your universities where you are studying currently but also to the state and the nation as a whole.
As you are all set to celebrate Diwali with our bravehearts, please do convey our greetings and best wishes to them.
Tell them that we are indebted to them for inspiring confidence, unity, inclusivity and patriotism among us, reminding us every day that the security and dignity of our nation rest in capable and courageous hands.
Thank You! Jai Hind
