. Ladies and Gentlemen!
. It is indeed a matter of great pride and honour for me to share my thoughts and feelings at the District Conference of Rotary International District 3011, ‘Abhyudaya’, being held here today.
This distinguished gathering reflects not only the strength of the Rotary movement, but also its enduring commitment to service above self. The guiding principle that unites Rotarians across the world – ‘Unite for Good’ – is not a slogan but a call to action rooted in compassion, responsibility and collective purpose.
. At this important juncture in our nation’s journey, this very spirit of unity is what India needs to move to the next level of resilience and inclusive growth.
True progress cannot be measured only in economic indicators or technological advancements. It must also be reflected in how inclusively we grow; how we uplift the weakest, empower the marginalised and ensure dignity and opportunity for every citizen.
Social, educational and economic inclusion must go hand in hand if we are to build a society that is strong, harmonious, and sustainable.
. Dear Friends,
We cannot afford to leave anyone behind or allow any section of society to remain unheard or underserved.
The vision of last-mile development calls upon us to reach those who are often invisible – to remote communities, disadvantaged families and individuals struggling for access to education, healthcare and livelihoods. Empowerment must be holistic, touching lives in ways that create lasting change rather than temporary relief.
This is where Rotarians can play a transformative role. With your leadership, resources and deep-rooted service ethos, you are uniquely positioned to make a meaningful difference.
I urge you to step forward, extend a helping hand to those who need it most and continue building bridges of hope and opportunity.
Together, let us work to build an India that is Viksit not only in infrastructure and economy, but also in compassion, equity and human values. When we unite for good, we truly rise together.
Thank You! Jai Hind!
