    – 19th Convocation held at National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra

    Chandigarh, November 17: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Sunday said that convocation is not just a ceremony but a celebration of the achievements and capabilities of students. After getting a degree from here, you should become a job giver rather than a job taker, such a belief has to be created that you should be recognized in the world.

    The Hon’ble Governor was speaking as the Chief Guest at the 19th Convocation held at the Sports Complex of National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on Sunday.

    Congratulating the students, he said that as an institute of national importance, NIT, Kurukshetra has a glorious legacy of academic excellence, cutting-edge research and holistic development.

    Over the years, this institute has nurtured some of the most talented minds of the country, who have contributed to the technological, industrial and social advancement of India. For our graduates, this is the end of one chapter of life and the beginning of a new chapter, he said.

    The Governor said that it is very important to have moral values in life, no one can stop a person who has courage and faith from moving forward. He said that I wish that you become an ambassador of a country and hold a high position. Gratitude is the foundation of humility and humility is the hallmark of true leadership. As you step into this new chapter, reflect on the journey that has brought you here. Remember the sacrifices of your parents, the advice of your teachers and the contribution of your peers.

    On this occasion, as a special guest, former Chairman of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) Dr G Satish Reddy congratulated the students who received degrees at the convocation and said that you should move forward with full hard work and dedication.

    Earlier, the director of the institute Dr BV Ramana Reddy welcomed the guests and said that a total of 4388 students were awarded degrees in the convocation, which includes 2890 Bachelor of Technology degrees, 1365 Post Graduate degrees, 133 Doctor of Philosophy degrees and 81 degrees from IIIT Sonipat.
