Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has appealed to the people of the state to work as ‘Jeev Sewaks’ for wildlife conservation
Chandigarh, March 3, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has appealed to the people of the state to work as ‘Jeev Sewaks’ for wildlife conservation. He said this in his message released on the occasion of World Wildlife Day today.
Appreciating the efforts of Haryana government for wildlife conservation, he said the protection of wildlife is very necessary to sustain the environment. He said that by increasing forest area, wildlife can be saved and expanded as well.
The Governor said that the officers of the Forest and Wildlife Environment Protection Department would get better results in this direction by effectively implementing various schemes being run by the Central and State governments for wildlife conservation.
Shri Dattatraya said the general public should be motivated to plant more and more trees for wildlife conservation. A feeling should be created in the general public that it is our religion to protect animals and birds. There should be a feeling of compassion towards animals and birds. He said that human beings and animals and birds are interdependent. So, we should treat and love them the way we treat our own near and dear ones!
