    Visit of Hon’ble Governor at Maa Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula & Red Cross Old Age Home, Sector 15, Panchkula

    Chandigarh, January 1, : Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Saturday performed puja at Maa Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula on the occasion of New Year and prayed for peace, happiness and prosperity of the people of the country and Haryana.

    Shri Bandaru Dattatraya was received by Deputy Commissioner and Chief Administrator of Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board Shri Mahavir Kaushik on his arrival at the temple. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri Mohit Handa, Secretary, Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board Sharda Prajapati, and former Director of GAIL, Smt Banto Kataria were also present.

    After performing puja, Shri Dattatraya reached the Red Cross Old Age Home, Sector 15, Panchkula, where he inquired about the well being of elderly and wished them a Happy New Year. On this occasion, he distributed blankets and fruits to the elderly people. They also shared their experience with the Governor and thanked him for his kind gesture.

    Shri Dattatraya said that arrangements should be made to organize religious discourse after every 15 days for the elderly people living in the old age homes so that they remain connected with spirituality and do not feel loneliness. He also inquired about the facilities being provided to the elderly people in the old age home.
