The Governor of Haryana, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya on Sunday paid tributes to the great nationalist and iconic freedom movement leader Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his 100th death anniversary. He said that Bal Gangadhar Tilak was not only a nationalist but also a great teacher, social reformer, lawyer and freedom fighter. “Swaraj is my birth right and I will have it — this slogan was given by Tilak ji himself. This revolutionary slogan inspired every Indian for Swaraj, which strengthened the feeling of independence among the countrymen,” Shri Dattatreya. He said that the youths today also need to work harder to further strengthen Swarajya, which will lead to the creation of a new and self-reliant India.
