    Shri Dattatraya paid floral tributes to Maharana Pratap at Raj Bhavan on his jayanti

    Chandigarh, May 9, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Monday said that Maharana Pratap was a man of valour, sacrifice and great determination. Throughout his life, he fought against the Mughal for the freedom of people’s religion and their rights as human beings. We need to bow in reverence to such brave people time and again.

    Shri Dattatraya on Monday paid floral tributes to Maharana Pratap at Raj Bhavan on his jayanti. He said that Maharana Pratap had a holistic view of the country, society and every community. In his army, he had had brave warriors from the Bheel community and also had Muslim fighter Hakim Khan Suri. This shows that Maharana Pratap had unwavering love for all classes, communities and religions.

    It was one of the reasons that he forced the large army of the Mughal to retreat in the battle of Haldighati. There were people from all communities in his court in whom he had unwavering faith. That is why Maharana Pratap is also considered as the best king of his time and for bravery, might, character and sacrifice. Given his respect for all communities, he is also regarded as a great pioneer of social harmony and nationalism.

    Governor Shri Dattatraya said that today’s young generation needs to learn from life, character, pride, devotion and spirit of sacrifice of Maharana Pratap for the unity and integrity of the nation. When youth imbibe thoughts of brave people, then the feeling of nationalism will become all pervasive and a strong India will be built.

    On this occasion, Secretary to Governor Shri Atul Dwivedi, IT Advisor to Governor Shri Bhanu B Shankar, Officer on Special Duty to Governor Shri Bakhwinder Singh, Joint Secretary Shri Amarjit Singh and other officials were also present.
