    Chandigarh, July 9, 2024: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Tuesday participated in the 116th annual Bonalu festival organized by Singhavahini Shri Mahakali Devalayam, Lal Darwaza, Hyderabad, held on Kartavya Path near the India Gate in New Delhi.

    While speaking to media persons, he highlighted that the Bonalu Festival, celebrated annually in Delhi, plays a vital role in preserving our cultural heritage. He urged the organizers to continue this tradition, ensuring that future generations are familiar with the significance and celebration of the Bonalu festival.

    The Governor extended his congratulations and best wishes to Singhavahini Shri Mahakali Devalayam, Lal Darwaza, Hyderabad, for hosting the event. He emphasized the importance of continuing to celebrate the Bonalu Mahotsav in such a manner that it keeps the people of Telangana living in Delhi and North India connected to their roots.

    Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya also expressed his delight at the rich display of Telangana’s culture and traditions during the festival in New Delhi.

    During the ceremony, the Governor was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers. He also performed ‘Puja’ in the traditional manner. He interacted with various artists, encouraging them and appreciating their efforts on the occasion.
