Lohri celebrated at Haryana Lok Bhavan, Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh extends greetings
Chandigarh, January 13, 2026: Lohri was celebrated with traditional fervour and cultural warmth at Haryana Lok Bhavan on Tuesday, reflecting the rich heritage and spirit of togetherness associated with the harvest festival.
On the occasion, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh conveyed his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people. The Governor said: “Lohri marks the celebration of harvest, warmth and togetherness, symbolizing gratitude to nature and the spirit of community.”
Lady Governor Smt Mitra Ghosh, Secretary to Governor Shri DK Behera, ADC to Governor Sqn Ldr Mohan Krishna P and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
Hon’ble Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh highlighted that Lohri is not only a festival marking the harvest season but also an expression of India’s deep-rooted cultural values, where people come together to celebrate prosperity, harmony and mutual respect.
