Hon’ble Governor has extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to ace javelin thrower Shri Neeraj Chopra

Chandigarh, August 28, 2023: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to ace javelin thrower Shri Neeraj Chopra for clinching the historic gold medal at the World Athletics Championship at Budapest, Hungary.

“My heartiest congratulations to Olympic champion and pride of India Shri Neeraj Chopra on becoming the javelin throw world champion. His 88.17m throw at Budapest to clinch India’s first-ever World Athletics Championships gold medal is so inspiring,” said Shri Dattatraya on Monday.

The Governor further said: “You have brought rare laurels to India and Haryana, which is fast emerging as the country’s sports hub.”

Conveying best wishes to the ace athlete for his future endeavours, Shri Dattatraya said that efforts of Shri Neeraj Chopra would motivate budding sportspersons of the country and the state to give their best in international competitions.
