    Governor welcomed and congratulated India’s eminent scientist and Executive Chairman of Bharat Biotech International Dr Krishna Ella and his wife Smt Suchitra M Ella

    Chandigarh, March 8, 2024: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Friday welcomed and congratulated India’s eminent scientist and Executive Chairman of Bharat Biotech International Dr Krishna Ella and his wife Smt Suchitra M Ella, also Managing Director, Bharat Biotech International, at Raj Bhavan.

    During the meeting, Shri Dattatraya praised them and their relentless efforts, along with the dedication of all scientists at Bharat Biotech, which helped India to get its first indigenous vaccine. He also acknowledged their perseverance to invent Covaxin and save the country from the grave pandemic of COVID-19.

    The Governor said that scientists are the harbingers of tomorrow, shaping the future through their dedication, creativity, and continuous pursuit of knowledge. In the field of medicine, scientists tirelessly strive to discover new treatments, improve healthcare, and save lives, which is a matter of pride for us all, he added.

    The Governor of Haryana also conveyed his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Dr Krishna Ella and Smt Suchitra Ella on receiving the prestigious honorary Doctor of Science degree during the convocation ceremony held at Punjab University, Chandigarh, yesterday evening. The degree was conferred by Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar.1
