Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya paying floral tribute to Sardar Udham Singh on his martyrdom day at Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh July 31, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya on Sunday paid floral tribute to great revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh on his martyrdom day at Raj Bhavan. Shri Dattatraya said that Udham Singh was a true patriot and played an important role in achieving the country’s independence. He sacrificed everything for the country’s pride and prestige.
Inspired by the struggle of our revolutionary heroes and their sacrifices like Udham Singh, lakhs of the youth of the country jumped in the freedom struggle, added Shri Dattatraya.
He said that this year the country is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by remembering the martyrs and freedom fighters who contributed in the attainment of freedom.
Taking inspiration from the sacrifice and life of our brave martyrs and freedom fighters, the youth should work for the unity, integrity and prosperity of the country, said Shri Dattatraya.
The Governor called upon the youth to work with dedication for eradicating corruption, poverty, and creating awareness about environment protection, increasing harmony and wiping out social evils from the country.
Only then the dream of our martyrs will come true and India will become a prosperous and powerful country. This will also be the true tribute to our brave martyrs, added Shri Dattatraya.
