Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya offers prayers at Banke Bihari Temple

Chandigarh, December 26, 2024: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Thursday offered prayers at the Banke Bihari Gyaneshwar Temple located in Ansal, Sonipat, seeking the blessings of Banke Bihari.

Upon his arrival at the temple premises, Superintendent of Police Shri Lokendra Singh and District Council CEO Shri Narendra Pal Malik welcomed Shri Dattatraya with bouquets. Students of Shri Krishna Vedic School greeted him by reciting verses from the Shukla Yajurveda and applying a ceremonial tilak.

Governor Shri Dattatraya worshipped Banke Bihari through the temple priest, offered prasad as a token of devotion, and received blessings. The priest adorned him with a ceremonial scarf and a pearl garland, completing the worship rituals. During his visit, Shri Dattatraya also offered prayers at the Shiv temple and other idols situated within the temple premises. He held discussions with members of the temple committee regarding the temple’s activities and vision.

On behalf of the committee, Governor Shri Dattatraya was presented with a photograph of Banke Bihari. It is noteworthy that Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya inaugurated the Banke Bihari Gyaneshwar Temple on October 21, 2021.
