Chandigarh, August 31, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya has asked Vice Chancellor of The English and Foreign Languages University, (EFLU), Hyderabad, Prof E Suresh Kumar to set up a regional campus of the university in Gurugram.
“This campus of EFLU will enable the students of north India including Haryana to get the best of education and training in languages including English and other foreign languages,” said Shri Dattatraya while interacting with the Vice Chancellor and faculty members of EFLU, Hyderabad.
Earlier, Shri Dattatraya planted a sapling on the university campus and also inaugurated the blood donation camp organized by the NSS unit of EFLU in the multipurpose auditorium where about 150 students and staff donated blood. The Haryana Governor appreciated the NSS volunteers for donating blood.
He said that Vishwakarma Skill University, one of its kinds in the country, has been established at Palwal in Haryana. There are about four dozen universities in the state. “Students with higher education will get an opportunity to learn foreign languages. They will also get opportunities to enhance their career at international level,” he said.
During interaction, Shri Dattatraya also said that ‘we have to stress the importance of learning English and other foreign languages while protecting and promoting our mother tongue.’ He lauded the Vice Chancellor of EFLU for transforming the university into an institution of global excellence in languages and literature.
