Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya paying his tributes to Sant Kabir Das ji at Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh, June 14, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Tuesday said that Sant Kabir Das ji always propagated the message of human welfare, inclusivity, equality and fraternity. His poems and messages are relevant even today. Shri Dattatraya on Tuesday paid his homage to Sant Kabir Das ji at Raj Bhavan.

Shri Dattatraya said that Sant Kabir Das ji guided all and those from deprived sections of society in particular to join the mainstream of devotion and was always in favour of their welfare. In his poems, he underlined the great values of life and spread awareness about people’s duties towards society.

Referring to one of the famous couplets of Sant Kabir Das ji, Shri Dattatraya said that one should develop the quality of living in the present and should never compromise with quality and doing things timely. There is no perfect time like the present and one should live in the present and must not leave anything for the future as the future is uncertain, said Shri Dattatraya.

We need to adopt and practice the teachings of Sant Kabir Das ji in our lives which will be the true tribute to him, he said.
