Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya paid his heartfelt tribute to former President of India and Bharat Ratna Dr APJ. Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary at Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh, July 27, 2023: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Thursday paid his heartfelt tribute to former President of India and Bharat Ratna Dr APJ. Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary here at Raj Bhavan.

Dr Kalam’s life and personality have been an inspiration to many, said Shri Dattatraya, while encouraging the youth to draw lessons from his journey and contribute more to the nation’s progress.

Dr Kalam’s life was marked by continuous struggle and he worked relentlessly to elevate India’s stature, not only in the field of science but also in various other areas, he said.

Shri Dattatraya said that under his guidance, India conducted Pokhran-II nuclear tests, and he played a significant role both politically and technically in this endeavour, said the Governor.

Today the entire country is paying homage to Dr Kalam on his punyatithi, remembering his dedication, vision, and contributions to India’s growth and development.

It is evident that his legacy continues to inspire and motivate the youth to work towards the new construction of the nation and achieve greater heights in various fields, just as he did during his lifetime, added Shri Dattatraya.
