    Chandigarh, April 18, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has said that a new National Education Policy-2020 has been prepared under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which focuses on ethical and value based education, and is also employment oriented. This policy is to be implemented across the country by 2030 but the Haryana government has decided to implement it by 2025 to be the first state in the country to do so.
    Shri Dattatraya, who was speaking as the Chief Guest at the prize distribution function of Euro International School, Sector 109, Gurugram, today, also felicitated the students who excelled in Class 10th and 12th of examinations and in NTSE and All India Sainik School Entrance Examinations. He also visited the science exhibition put up in the school premises and said that the innovative thinking of the children has been demonstrated in the exhibition.
    Shri Dattatraya said that student life is the best time and most valuable in one’s life. The environment and habits students develop during their days in schools are very important. Good environment is available to the students of Euro International School, said Shri Dattatraya, asking them to work hard for success in their lives. Keep two things in mind — What to study and for whom to study, he said, calling upon the students to follow a disciplined life.

    Stating that one should learn English but should not become a slave of English, Shri Dattatraya said that as the Union Labour Minister he had got the opportunity to attend a conference in Geneva in which 184 countries of the world participated. In that conference, only 3-4 representatives of different countries delivered their speeches in English and all others addressed the conference in their mother tongue. He said that he also spoke in Hindi. The Governor said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also speaks in Hindi in the meetings of the United Nations. He told the students that nation first means keeping the nation first.

    Shri Dattatraya said that the state government is going to upgrade 138 government schools to model schools in Haryana, in which computer education will be imparted from Class V onwards. These schools will have a CBSE-based curriculum. He also stressed on providing quality education to the last person in society, adding that the country will progress only when poor families move forward.

    Emphasizing on the need to impart quality education to girls, he said that girls are ahead in every field in Haryana. From education to sports, they are doing well in every field. He also exhorted students to keep in mind three important subjects – Swachh Bharat, Fit India and Swasth Bharat.

    On this occasion, Chairman of Euro International School Shri Satyaveer Yadav, Vice Chairman Smt Sarla Yadav, Director Swati Yadav and Nitin Yadav, Naveen Goyal, and Principal Priya Srivastava were also present.
