    Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh flags off relief trucks for people affected by rains

    Chandigarh, September 11, 2025: Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh on Thursday flagged off five trucks loaded with relief material from Haryana Raj Bhavan. The relief consignment, prepared by the Haryana State Branch of the Indian Red Cross Society, was dispatched to the districts of Sirsa, Kaithal, Ambala, and Fatehabad.

    On the occasion, the Governor said that this relief material is being sent to areas where heavy rainfall and water-logging have disrupted daily life. The initiative aims to provide prompt and effective assistance to the affected people, ensuring that their basic needs are met and helping them return to normal life.

    The Governor further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, the State Government is also committed to providing financial assistance to people and farmers affected by water-logging.

    For this purpose, the government has launched an E-Compensation Portal, where citizens can register details of their losses and apply for compensation. He urged citizens to make use of this portal and report their grievances, he said.

    Governor Prof Ghosh appreciated this humanitarian initiative of the Indian Red Cross Society and expressed gratitude to all volunteers and donors who contributed to the relief efforts.

    Present on the occasion were Governor’s Secretary Mr DK Behera, ADC, Sqn Ldr Mohan P Krishna, Senior Private Secretary Mr Jagan Nath Bains, Personal Assistants Mr Rahul Dagar, Mr Shankha Chatterjee, and other Raj Bhavan officials along with Red Cross Society Vice President Mr. Ankush Miglani, General Secretary Mr. Mahesh Joshi, Joint Secretary Mr. Anil Joshi, and other officials of the organization.
