Governor congratulates Neeraj Chopra

Chandigarh, July 24, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has congratulated athlete Neeraj Chopra for winning the silver medal at the World Athlete Championships. The Governor called up Shri Bhim Chopra, the uncle of Neeraj Chopra, and conveyed his greetings and good wishes to the family members.
Shri Dattatraya said that Neeraj Chopra has brought rare laurels not only to Haryana but to the entire country. He has made the whole country proud, said the Governor, adding that his stellar performance will further inspire the youth to excel in their lives.

The Governor said that the achievements of players like Neeraj Chopra will motivate the young generation towards sports. He also congratulated the Government of Haryana led by Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal for having an ambitious Sports Policy which encourages young sportspersons to excel globally and bring glory to the state and the nation.
