Governor Bandaru Dattatraya attended the 43rd Foundation Day celebrations of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) as the Chief Guest
Chandigarh, July 12, 2024: Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya on Friday attended the 43rd Foundation Day celebrations of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) as the Chief Guest here.
During this, the Governor flagged off the mobile van of FPO and inaugurated the exhibition of products of SHG, JLG, FPO and OFPO in the office premises. The Governor also planted saplings in the premises of the NABARD office.
Addressing the people present at the program, Governor Shri Dattatraya said that the concept of developed India can be fulfilled only through the ambitious projects of the Government of India like Drone Didi, Lakhpati Didi and development of rural India.
He also emphasized on innovation, partnership and transparency in the implementation of agriculture and rural development schemes and monitoring of credit flow.
The Governor appreciated the contribution of NABARD in the last four decades and congratulated all the staff members on the Foundation Day.
He appreciated the efforts of NABARD in the creation of rural infrastructure, rural storage facilities, food parks, and social infrastructure in the State. He said that NABARD has always been at the forefront in modernization and strengthening of rural financial institutions and rural banks in the State.
The Governor also praised NABARD for sanctioning financial assistance of Rs 16,551 crore to the state for more than 7000 rural infrastructure projects. NABARD deserves compliments for successfully implementing various innovative projects like KCC, SHG, JLG, FPO and OFPO in the state in the last one year, he said.
