Chandigarh, July 28, 2022: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has stressed the need for 100 per cent institutional deliveries for better health of all pregnant women and their babies. Shri Dattatraya was talking to Dr Veena Singh, Director General, Health Services, at Raj Bhavan on Thursday, during a courtesy meeting.
The Governor said that pregnant women should get timely facilities related to vaccination and check-up in their localities. Similarly, facilities related to vaccination to children should also be ensured on time so that they become healthy citizens of the country.
The Director General apprised the Governor that quality facilities for delivery are available at 2674 Sub-Health Centres, 734 Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres and Civil Hospitals in the State. Over 90 per cent of deliveries are institutional in the state, she said.
She further informed that more than 4,46,70000 (four crore forty sixty six lakh seventy thousand) doses of anti-Covid vaccination have been given in Haryana. She said that there is no case of monkeypox in Haryana. Still, online training has been given to the doctors related to its diagnosis and management.
Dr Singh said that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, 28.47 lakh gold cards have been made so far and Rs 450 crore has been paid against 4.49 lakh claims. Under this scheme, 656 hospitals – 176 Government and 480 Private – have been empanelled with the Ayushman Bharat Haryana.
