Chandigarh, December 24, 2021: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has extended his warm greetings to all on the pious occasion of Christmas, urging them to celebrate the festival of joy in an atmosphere of peace, affinity and empathy.

“Happiness is the key to holistic development of humanity. Each of us must strive to contribute to everyone’s happiness in whatever way we can. Serving humanity is the real service to God,” said Shri Dattatraya.

Talking about the relevance of Christmas, Shri Bandaru said love, compassion and care have been an integral part of human evolution. “We cannot think of peace, prosperity, health and happiness if we are not able to spread love and fraternity among ourselves,” he said.

The Haryana Governor said that Jesus Christ was an epitome of kindness and compassion, who dedicated his life to alleviate human suffering without causing any harm to anyone. “Love your neighbour as thyself was what Christ has taught us. Let us follow his teachings to make the world a happier and more peaceful place to live,” he said.

“I hope and pray that the festival of Christmas brings all happiness, peace and prosperity in everyone’s life. Let us celebrate every moment of life in solidarity with all,” said Shri Dattatraya.
