Chandigarh, December 22, 2021: Swami Sadanand Saraswati Vedanti Ji Maharaj was a great soul, who dedicated his life for the holistic development of humanity. His contributions to the development of society and humanity will always be a source of inspiration for all those who wish to serve their motherland in a selfless manner. This was stated by Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya today while speaking at a function held at Raj Bhavan to pay tributes to Swami Ji on his punyatithi.
Talking about the relevance of Sanatan Dharma, Shri Dattatraya said that all religions are respected in Sanatan. It teaches us to unite all religions by rising above petty considerations. Therefore, Sanatan Dharma is considered as a humane religion. Swami Sadanand Saraswati Vedanti Ji Maharaj served the cause of Sanatan Dharma in the best possible manner, said Shri Dattatraya.
Shri Dattatraya said that Swami Sadanand Saraswati Vedanti Ji Maharaj was born in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was a disciple of Swami Karpatri ji Maharaj. He did a wonderful job to empower the marginalized sections of society to whom I pay my humble homage, said Shri Dattatraya.
The Governor said that Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari ji, chairman of Punjab Human Rights Commission, has participated in today’s program, showing his respect for the path shown by Swami Ji. This is a good message for the society, said Shri Dattatraya, urging all to give their best in serving the weak and needy among us, which will be the real homage to Swami Ji.
On this occasion, Justice Shri Iqbal Ahmed Ansari said that Sanatan Dharma has always carried forward the teachings of peace and communal harmony in society. This is the soul of Sanatan. To strengthen this soul, Swami Vedanti Ji Maharaj worked throughout his life.
Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Punjab, Shri KAP Sinha, while paying his homage to Swami Sadanand Saraswati Vedanti Ji Maharaj, explained in detail the importance of Guru-Shishya and Shishya-Guru tradition in India.
Swami Abhishek Brahmchari inaugurated the function, which was presided over by Shri Rohit Kumar, convener of Yuva Chetna. Shri Arvind Seth ji, Advocate, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Shri Gaganpreet Singh, Shri Neeraj Garg, Shri Mohandeep Singh, Shri Ankur Juneja and other dignitaries were present in the program.
