Encourage students for innovation, research and entrepreneurship: Governor
Chandigarh, March 24, 2022: Haryana Governor-Chancellor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Thursday emphasized upon the need for exposing students to innovation, research and development, and emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Shri Dattatraya was interacting with the faculty members of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, during his visit to the university. Shri Dattatraya also enquired about the academic progress and initiatives taken by the university for the promotion of innovation, research and entrepreneurship.
Earlier, while paying a courtesy call on the Governor– Chancellor on his arrival, Vice Chancellor Prof Tomar gave a brief progress report on the academic growth of the university and apprised Shri Dattatraya about how the university is putting a special focus on research and development activities along with effective implementation of new National Education Policy-2020.
Shri Dattatraya expressed his satisfaction over the growth of the university and urged the faculty members to encourage students to take up innovation, research and development, and work on emerging technologies.
Vice Chancellor Prof Tomar also presented a memento and shawl to Shri Dattatraya as a mark of respect. Registrar Dr SK Garg was also present on the occasion. Earlier, Governor Shri Dattatraya also received the ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the District Police in the university premises.
