Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya paying his tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his Jayanti
Chandigarh, February 19, 2022: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a mighty warrior, epitome of patriotism, devotion to duty, and culture. In his life full of struggle, he fought against the Mughal rulers to protect the country and religion.
This was stated by Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya while remembering Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary today. He said that he is proud to bow to such a majestic warrior. The country is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, marking 75 years of independence. It has been possible thanks to sacrifices of warriors like Shivaji Maharaj.
Shri Dattatraya said that Shivaji Maharaj worked for the welfare of the poor, downtrodden and women during his rule. He was not against any religion. During his regime, he created an atmosphere of equanimity.
Lifestyle of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, his character and teachings are relevant even today. Let the young generation adopt his teachings and the spirit of patriotism in their lives. This will be a true tribute to Shivaji Maharaj, said Shri Dattatraya.
