    Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya offering prayers before assuming charge in his office

    Chandigarh, July 16- The Hon’ble Governor’s first day in the office was iconic in many ways. He started off by offering due prayers to Lord Ganesha and all the deities and then offered prasadam to the Lord with rituals and mantras. He prayed for well being of everyone in the state of Haryana and the country which only speaks of his pure consciousness and his concern for his countrymen and the residents of the state of Haryana in particular.

    He graced the Chair of Hon’ble Governor at 11:09 am and immediately started official work and appointments. His eagerness for welfare of the State of Haryana was clear from the sparkle in his eyes and great sense of curiosity.

    The newly appointed Governor showed a rare curiosity to understand the articulated positional hierarchy of the Raj Bhavan and instructed his Secretary that he will visit all offices tomorrow and see the working at various levels. His open personality and strong sense of affable compassion for the poor and afflicted was infectious.

    Today the July 16th Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya formally took charge of his office and dealt with office related work.

    Before the starting the official work, he offered prayers with all rites and rituals in the office.

    Lady Governor, Smt. Vasantha, daughter, Smt. B. Vijaya Lakshmi, son in law B. Jignesh Reddy his Private Secretary and Personal Assistant alongwith others important family members were present on the occasion.

    The Governor, Sh. Dattatreya while interacting with Director General, Crime, Law and Order (Branch) of the Police Department, Sh. Mohammad Akil, who came to meet him at Raj Bhavan on Friday, said that the Police Department should take all possible steps to prevent crime against women in the state so that Haryana becomes a completely crime free state. The Governor advised and instructed him the inquired about the infrastructural facilities and functioning of the Police Department in the state. Along with this, he said that every type of crime will have to be curbed in order to further improve law and order in the state. He expressed his concern to the DGP law and order that apart improving the traffic system in the state, crime related to narcotics and common types of crimes should also be eliminated so that Haryana can become an ideal state in the whole country in terms of law and order.

    Various dignitaries met the Hon’ble Governor as per the appointment first amongst whom was Mohammad Akil, DGP crime and Law and order who apprised the Governor about the status of Law and order and crime in various District of Haryana.

    On Friday itself, Managing Director, Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation, Sh. A Sreenivas met the Governor and briefed him about the activities of his department. He informed that Haryana Dairy Development Co-operative Federation plans to set up one milk plant in southern Haryana and one milk plant in Ambala. He also informed about the Tetra plant to be set up in Rohtak.
